Pastor Adeboye Urges Nigerians to Look Beyond Economic Hardship

The General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye, has encouraged Nigerians not to measure their worth by the country’s current economic difficulties, urging citizens to remain hopeful and resilient in the face of hardship.

Speaking during a church program, Pastor Adeboye recalled his own humble beginnings, sharing that he once walked barefoot to school in a village so small it was not even on the map. He said his personal journey was a reminder that challenges can be stepping stones to greater achievements.

“Never judge your value by the situation around you,” Adeboye said. “I came from a village no one recognized, yet God lifted me to where I am today. What matters is not the hardship you face but the destiny God has prepared for you.”

His message comes at a time when many Nigerians are grappling with the effects of inflation, rising food prices, and limited job opportunities. Adeboye urged the faithful to hold on to their faith, reminding them that difficulties are temporary and do not define an individual’s future.

The pastor’s remarks were met with applause and affirmation from worshippers, many of whom said the message provided a much-needed source of encouragement amid nationwide economic uncertainty.

Observers note that Adeboye’s words reflect a broader call among religious leaders for Nigerians to remain optimistic despite harsh realities, while also emphasizing the importance of perseverance, hard work, and spiritual trust.

Pastor Adeboye concluded by reminding Nigerians that their true worth lies in their faith, talents, and potential, not in the economic challenges of the moment. He called on citizens to remain steadfast and to focus on building a future filled with hope, resilience, and divine possibilities.
