The team was formally received on Monday at the Presidential Villa in Abuja by President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, who commended their courage, unity, and record-breaking victory.

As part of their recognition, each player on the Super Falcons squad received a cash prize of $100,000 and was awarded national honors. Coaching staff and technical team members were also rewarded for their contributions to the team’s success.
The Federal Government also announced new investment plans in women’s football academies and infrastructure across the country.
The Falcons’ success has drawn global attention, with congratulatory messages pouring in from the Confederation of African Football (CAF), FIFA, and fans around the world. Social media has been abuzz with the hashtag #SuperFalcons, celebrating the team’s resilience and performance.
