I want to use this medium to express my concern and opinion regarding the current situation in Nigeria.
I believe there is an agenda to Islamize Nigeria and that this process did not begin today. In my view, this agenda has been developing over many years, including during the administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari and continuing under President Bola Tinubu.
I believe that groups such as Boko Haram and other violent actors have contributed to insecurity and religious fear across different parts of Nigeria. I also believe foreign fighters and extremist elements from outside Nigeria have entered the country and contributed to violence and instability.
In my opinion, many of the attacks and killings affecting communities—especially Christian communities—have not received sufficient action and accountability. I believe Nigerians and the international community should examine these concerns seriously.
I also refer to concerns previously raised publicly by Nnamdi Kanu and others regarding the future direction of Nigeria and religious and political developments in the country.
I am calling on the international community, including leaders in the United States, Israel, the United Kingdom, Canada and global institutions, to pay attention to the security situation in Nigeria and to support independent review, accountability and peaceful solutions.
My position is that Nigerians deserve safety, dignity, freedom of religion and protection from violence.
I believe discussions about restructuring, self-determination and future constitutional arrangements should happen through peaceful and lawful means to prevent further bloodshed and preserve human life.
Thank you.
