U.S. President Donald Trump has issued a stark warning to Iran, declaring that the country will be “hit very hard” as tensions continue to escalate in the Middle East conflict involving the United States, Israel, and Iran.
Trump made the remarks in a post on his social media platform, stating that additional Iranian officials and targets could be struck as the war intensifies. He warned that new targets were being considered as part of a potential expansion of the ongoing military campaign.
“Under serious consideration for complete destruction and certain death are areas and groups that were not previously considered for targeting,” Trump wrote, signaling the possibility of broader military action against Iran.
The U.S. president also claimed that Iran had apologized to neighboring countries for recent missile attacks and promised to stop targeting them, attributing the shift to the pressure from ongoing U.S. and Israeli strikes. He further stated that Iran was no longer the “bully of the Middle East.”
Earlier, Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian issued an apology to neighboring states following a series of missile strikes on countries in the Gulf region. He said the attacks were the result of internal miscommunication and announced that Iran would suspend further strikes on neighboring countries unless they attack Iran first.
According to Pezeshkian, Iran’s temporary leadership council approved the decision to halt missile attacks on neighboring nations in an effort to prevent the conflict from widening across the region.
The escalating confrontation has raised global fears of a wider regional war that could draw in additional countries across the Middle East and disrupt international energy markets and global security.
Diplomatic efforts are continuing behind the scenes, but analysts warn that the increasingly aggressive rhetoric from both sides highlights the fragile state of the situation as military operations continue across the region.
