U.S. President Donald Trump has said that any decision to end the ongoing war with Iran will be made jointly with Benjamin Netanyahu, emphasizing close coordination between the United States and Israel as the conflict continues to escalate.
Speaking in a phone interview with The Times of Israel, Trump explained that both leaders have been in frequent communication about how the war should proceed and when it should ultimately come to an end.
“I think it’s mutual… we’ve been talking,” Trump said, adding that he would make a final decision at the appropriate time while considering all strategic factors involved in the conflict.
The remarks come as the Middle East war involving the United States, Israel, and Iran continues to expand, with military operations intensifying across the region. The conflict has already led to missile exchanges, airstrikes, and rising tensions in several countries.
The war began after a major joint U.S.–Israeli campaign targeted Iranian military and strategic infrastructure. Iran responded with retaliatory missile and drone attacks aimed at Israel and several neighboring countries hosting U.S. military facilities.
International leaders and organizations have warned that the escalating hostilities could spiral into a broader regional war if diplomatic solutions are not pursued. The United Nations has called for urgent negotiations, stressing that continued military action risks severe humanitarian and economic consequences for the region and beyond.
Despite the growing calls for diplomacy, both Washington and Tel Aviv have signaled that military operations may continue until their strategic objectives are achieved. Analysts say the close coordination between Trump and Netanyahu highlights the strong alliance between the two countries as the conflict unfolds.
