Saudi Arabia’s Ambassador to Japan, Dr. Ghazi Faisal Binzagr, met with Japanese Foreign Minister Toshimitsu Motegi in Tokyo, where he praised the long-standing relationship between the two countries and highlighted the importance of continued cooperation.

The meeting took place on the sidelines of the 19th Annual Japan International Manga Awards, where both sides discussed diplomatic relations and ways to strengthen collaboration between Saudi Arabia and Japan.

Speaking after the meeting, Ambassador Binzagr emphasized that the 70-year relationship between Saudi Arabia and Japan reflects strong trust and mutual respect between the two nations. He described the partnership as an example of how cooperation built on long-term vision and commitment can support international stability.

“In an increasingly turbulent world, relationships built on trust, respect and long-term vision remain part of a deeper path toward human stability,” the ambassador said while discussing the ties between both countries.

Saudi Arabia and Japan have maintained close diplomatic and economic relations for decades, particularly in areas such as energy cooperation, trade, and cultural exchange. Japan remains one of the major importers of Saudi crude oil, making the partnership strategically important for both economies.

The discussions between the Saudi ambassador and the Japanese foreign minister also reflected ongoing efforts by both countries to deepen their diplomatic engagement and explore further cooperation across multiple sectors.

Officials expressed optimism that the longstanding partnership would continue to grow, especially at a time when global geopolitical tensions are reshaping international alliances and economic cooperation.

The meeting highlighted the commitment of both nations to strengthen bilateral ties and maintain stable diplomatic relations amid growing global challenges.
