Islamabad — November 11, 2025 | Dalena Reporters

A suicide bomber struck outside the entrance to a district court in Pakistan’s capital Islamabad on Tuesday, killing at least 12 people and injuring 27 others, including police officers, according to Interior Minister Mohsin Naqvi.

The attacker failed to gain access to the court building and detonated the device near a parked police van after waiting approximately 10 to 15 minutes in the gate area.
Security forces have cordoned off the scene in the G-11 sector and launched a full forensic and investigative operation; the government has accused “Indian-backed elements and Afghan Taliban proxies” of complicity.
Prime Minister Shehbaz Sharif described Pakistan as being in a “state of war” following the attack, warning that militants now have the capacity to strike the capital.

Witnesses described chaotic scenes as the explosion ripped through the crowded judicial complex area — bodies covered with blood, shattered windows and burning vehicles.

he attack has raised alarm over rising insurgent capabilities and growing regional tensions, particularly with cross-border accusations involving Afghanistan and India; security analysts say the blast marks one of the most severe internal strikes in Islamabad in years.
