Asaba — A senior media aide to Delta State Governor Sheriff Oborevwori, Ossai Success, has confirmed the arrest of social media personalities VeryDarkMan (Martins Vincent Otse) and Mr Jollof (Freedom Okpetoritse Atsepoyi) following a physical altercation aboard a United Nigeria Airlines flight.
According to Success, the confrontation erupted during the boarding of Flight UN 0523 at Asaba International Airport. He said in a Facebook post that both men were “unboarded and arrested” by airport security. He expressed disappointment in their behaviour, noting that “they have been unboarded and arrested … I am really disappointed in both of them for fighting inside an aircraft when they should have done that on the roadside.
United Nigeria Airlines confirmed the incident, stating that its crew acted promptly to de-escalate the situation and followed safety protocols. The airline said the pair were handed over to airport security after being deplaned.
The arrest adds to a developing aviation controversy: the Nigerian Civil Aviation Authority (NCAA) has already announced it will investigate the mid-air clash
