WASHINGTON, October 29
US President Donald Trump has arrived in South Korea, where he will attend the APEC summit and meet with Chinese President Xi Jinping, according to local television broadcasts.
A red carpet was rolled out for Trump at the airport, and a military band played. In a few hours, Trump is expected to address a session of the APEC summit .
Trump is scheduled to meet with the Chinese leader on Thursday, which the US leader called the most important event of the visit amid the ongoing trade war between the countries.
The APEC High-Level Week takes place from October 27 to November 1 in Gyeongju.
