Abuja, Nigeria — August 18, 2025
Ohanaeze Ndigbo, the apex socio-cultural organization representing the Igbo people, has publicly recognized the Bola Tinubu administration for policies and achievements that have earned the trust of communities in Southeast Nigeria. Speaking during a press briefing on Monday, the group highlighted infrastructural development, political inclusion, and economic initiatives as key factors contributing to growing confidence in the federal government.
According to Ohanaeze leaders, targeted investments in road networks, healthcare facilities, and educational infrastructure have positively impacted the region, helping to bridge historical gaps in development. The organization also emphasized increased representation of Southeast leaders in key federal appointments, which it says has strengthened dialogue and collaboration between the region and the presidency.
President Tinubu’s administration has made efforts to ensure that development projects are not only concentrated in certain regions but are spread across the country, fostering a sense of inclusion and national unity. Ohanaeze leaders described these measures as significant steps toward addressing longstanding grievances and enhancing trust in government policies.
While recognizing the progress made, Ohanaeze Ndigbo called for continued engagement and implementation of ongoing projects to sustain the momentum. Analysts believe that this endorsement could play a crucial role in strengthening the political relationship between the Southeast and the federal government ahead of future policy initiatives.
The organization concluded by urging all stakeholders, including government officials and community leaders, to maintain transparency, accountability, and inclusivity to ensure that public trust continues to grow.
