United States President Donald Trump has warned that American forces will continue to launch heavy strikes on Iran over the next two to three weeks, signaling a further escalation in the ongoing conflict.

Speaking amid rising tensions, Trump declared that the United States would hit Iran “extremely hard” in the coming weeks, emphasizing that military operations would intensify as part of efforts to achieve Washington’s strategic objectives in the war.

The U.S. leader stated that Iran would face a sustained barrage of attacks, adding that the campaign could severely weaken the country’s infrastructure and military capabilities. His remarks come as the conflict continues to disrupt global stability and energy markets.

Trump did not provide a clear timeline for ending the conflict but insisted that U.S. operations had already met or exceeded expectations. He also avoided detailing any immediate plans for negotiations or diplomatic engagement with Tehran.

The escalating war has had significant economic consequences worldwide. Oil prices surged sharply following Trump’s comments, with Brent crude rising by nearly five percent, while Asian stock markets experienced declines amid investor concerns over prolonged instability.

In the United States, fuel prices have climbed above $4 per gallon for the first time in years, reflecting the broader impact of the conflict on global energy supply chains. Analysts warn that the rising costs are likely to affect food prices and other essential goods due to increased transportation expenses.

Meanwhile, critics within the United States have questioned the administration’s strategy. Some lawmakers described Trump’s recent address on the war as lacking clarity, arguing that it failed to provide a clear direction on whether the situation is moving toward escalation or de-escalation.

The conflict, centered around tensions in the Strait of Hormuz and broader regional rivalries, continues to raise fears of a prolonged war with far-reaching global consequences.

As military operations intensify, world leaders are increasingly calling for restraint and renewed diplomatic efforts to prevent further escalation and stabilize the region.
