China has strongly condemned the killing of top Iranian officials in recent Israeli strikes, warning that such actions risk pushing the Middle East deeper into chaos and could ignite a wider regional war.

In an official statement, Beijing described the targeted killings of Iranian leaders as “unacceptable,” stressing that the use of force in international relations particularly against state officials violates fundamental global principles.

Chinese Foreign Ministry spokesperson Lin Jian emphasized that attacks on Iranian leadership and civilian targets are deeply concerning, urging all parties involved in the conflict to immediately halt military operations. He warned that continued escalation could spiral out of control and destabilize the entire region.

The condemnation follows a series of high-profile assassinations of Iranian figures, including senior security officials, in strikes widely attributed to Israel amid the ongoing war involving Iran, the United States, and allied forces.

China’s reaction signals growing international concern over the expanding scope of the conflict, which has already spread across multiple countries and triggered retaliatory attacks on key infrastructure throughout the Gulf region. Global powers are increasingly alarmed that targeted killings of political and military leaders could intensify hostilities and close off diplomatic pathways.

Beijing has consistently maintained its opposition to what it describes as unilateral military actions, reiterating its support for respecting national sovereignty and territorial integrity. The Chinese government also called for renewed dialogue and diplomatic engagement to prevent further bloodshed.

Analysts note that China’s stance reflects a careful balancing act—maintaining strong ties with Iran while positioning itself as a voice for stability in the region. However, its warning underscores the seriousness of the current crisis and the risk of a broader confrontation.

As the Middle East conflict deepens with mounting casualties and economic disruptions, China’s intervention adds to a growing chorus of international voices urging restraint—amid fears that continued targeted killings could transform an already volatile war into a full-scale regional catastrophe.
