ABUJA — The National Drug Law Enforcement Agency (NDLEA) has issued a public wanted notice for a man from Delta State in connection with alleged involvement in drug trafficking activities, underscoring the anti-narcotics agency’s intensified campaign against illicit drug networks across Nigeria.
In a statement accompanied by the suspect’s photograph and identifying details, NDLEA announced that it is actively seeking information leading to the arrest and prosecution of the Delta man whose identity has not yet been publicly disclosed for his purported role in organised drug distribution and trafficking operations that violate Nigeria’s anti-narcotics laws. The agency said the declaration follows credible intelligence and investigative leads suggesting the individual’s central role in a broader distribution ring.
The NDLEA typically issues such wanted notices as part of its effort to dismantle drug syndicates and bring ring leaders to justice, and has in recent years declared multiple high-profile suspects wanted in similar campaigns against cartel members and kingpins operating within Nigeria and internationally.
Authorities are urging members of the public to report sightings or credible information about the suspect’s whereabouts to the NDLEA or local law enforcement agencies, stressing that the fight against drug trafficking continues to be a priority in curbing criminal networks and protecting communities from the harmful impacts of narcotics distribution.
The NDLEA’s declaration reflects ongoing efforts by Nigeria’s anti-narcotics agency as it coordinates with regional and national partners to track, arrest, and prosecute individuals suspected of facilitating the flow of illegal drugs a mission that has led to thousands of arrests and seizures in recent years.
