A pastor of the Living Faith Church (Winners Chapel) has been kidnapped by armed terrorist in Ogaminana, Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi State, Nigeria sparking panic among residents and members of the congregation, Dalena Reporters has reported. The incident occurred around 9:30 p.m. on Saturday when the pastor was abducted from his residence along the Kabba Junction axis of the Okene–Abuja Highway, a corridor increasingly plagued by kidnappings and violent crimes.

Eyewitnesses said the attackers, suspected to be members of a local kidnapping syndicate, stormed the area armed with weapons and forced the pastor into a vehicle before fleeing into an unknown location. The crime reportedly took place in full view of family members and neighbours, deepening fear within the community as abductions continue to rise across the central Nigerian state.

Residents say the kidnapping took place in the same neighbourhood where an earlier attack occurred earlier in the day, underscoring the persistence of terrorist operations. Police and security agencies in the state have reportedly been notified, but no formal public statement or details on ransom demands had been released at the time of publication.

The pastor’s abduction forms part of an escalating wave of kidnappings, banditry and armed assaults affecting communities along highways in Kogi State and other North-Central regions of Nigeria. Locals are urging the government and security agencies to intensify efforts to rescue kidnapping victims and dismantle criminal networks threatening public safety.
