TOKYO, October 28. /TASS/. Japanese Prime Minister Sanae Takaichi and US President Donald Trump signed agreements on a "new golden age of alliance" between the two countries, as well as a memorandum on cooperation in critical minerals. The signing ceremony was broadcast live on Japanese public television.
On October 28, talks between Takaichi and Trump took place in Tokyo.
For Takaichi, this was his first meeting with the White House chief since she took office on October 21. For Donald Trump, this was his first visit to Japan during his second term. The US president has visited Japan four times, most recently in 2019.
