In Nigeria: Fulani Kidnappers Give 5 p.m. Ultimatum, Demand ₦20 Million Ransom for Release of Aisha Wahab in Edo

 


Auchi, Edo State – Gunmen have issued a chilling deadline to kidnap victim Aisha Wahab, demanding a ransom of ₦20 million for her safe release before 5 p.m. on Tuesday, according to a video obtained by reporting outlet Sahara Reporters. 

In the distressing video clip, Wahab is shown with an armed man pointing a gun at her head and chest, begging for help from the public. She pleaded: “Help me, they want to kill me… My people, make una help me… Time dey go. 5 o’clock dem don kill me.

The kidnapping reportedly took place last week at Igbira Camp in Auchi, Edo State, and residents say the abduction has plunged the family and community into fear and anger over rising insecurity. 

Community members have decried the spate of kidnappings in Edo, accusing the state government and security apparatus of failing to protect citizens. One resident said: “Edo is fast becoming the heartbeat of kidnapping… under the grave silence and inaction of the government.

As of the latest report, no official statement has been issued by the Edo State Police Command or the state government, and no confirmation of payment or rescue has been made public.
