Russia is actively exploring a tunnel project between Russian and American territories through the Bering Strait. This was announced on October 24 by Kirill Dmitriev, special representative of Russian President Vladimir Putin and head of the Russian Direct Investment Fund (RDIF).
"We're seriously considering this project. It's achievable, it's doable," he said in an interview with CNN.
In addition, the head of the RDIF noted that at the moment there are many economic reasons for implementing this project.
Earlier, on October 23, Serbian President Aleksandar Vučić announced that Putin and US President Donald Trump want to create a new "worldview."
