Thousands of demonstrators have taken to the streets across the United States in a nationwide wave of protests against President Donald Trump, as the “No Kings” movement staged one of the largest coordinated anti-government actions in recent months.
According to reports, more than 3,200 protest events were organized across all 50 states, marking the third major round of nationwide demonstrations since the movement began. The rallies drew millions of participants, with large crowds gathering in major cities including New York, Washington, Dallas, and Los Angeles.
Protesters voiced opposition to several key policies of the Trump administration, including aggressive immigration enforcement measures and ongoing military actions linked to the Iran conflict. Many demonstrators carried placards and chanted pro-democracy slogans, expressing concerns about what they described as authoritarian tendencies in government.
In Minnesota, one of the central locations of the protests, thousands gathered outside the state capitol in St. Paul, where political leaders and activists addressed the crowd. Speakers emphasized the importance of civic resistance and democratic values, with participants calling for greater accountability and policy changes.
The protests also saw participation from prominent public figures, including Bernie Sanders and actor Robert De Niro, who criticized the administration and urged continued public engagement. Demonstrators described the rallies as a response to growing dissatisfaction with both domestic and foreign policy decisions.
Organizers noted a significant increase in participation from smaller communities, with nearly two-thirds of the events taking place outside major metropolitan areas. This expansion highlights the growing reach of the movement and its ability to mobilize support nationwide.
Despite largely peaceful gatherings, some protests experienced minor clashes between demonstrators and counter-protest groups, leading to a number of arrests in certain locations. Authorities confirmed that law enforcement presence was increased in several cities to maintain order during the demonstrations.
The protests come at a time of declining approval ratings for President Trump, which have reportedly fallen to around 36 percent—his lowest since returning to office. Analysts suggest that the growing scale of demonstrations could play a significant role in shaping political dynamics ahead of upcoming midterm elections.
As the “No Kings” movement continues to gain momentum, observers say the demonstrations reflect deepening political divisions within the United States, with millions of citizens actively engaging in public discourse over the country’s direction and leadership.
