Trump announced higher trade tariffs against Canada

US President Donald Trump announced a ten percent increase in trade tariffs against Canada, in addition to the measures already in place for the allegedly false campaign about former President Ronald Reagan's tariff speech, RIA Novosti reports.

Trump called for the ad to be removed and stressed that its display was fraudulent .

"Due to their serious misrepresentations and hostile actions, I am increasing the tariff on Canada by 10% above what they are currently paying," he announced.

Trump previously claimed that Canada had fraudulently used fake advertising against tariffs. In October, Ontario aired a $75 million ad featuring a clip from Reagan's 1987 speech about tariffs. The current leader claims that tariffs are ineffective in the long term.
