Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy, who is incarcerated in Santé prison, is being taunted by his fellow inmates, the Daily Mail reported on October 23.
"Former French President Nicolas Sarkozy spent his first night in prison being taunted about his height and shouted at by fellow inmates," the article said.
Following the incident, when prisoners began shouting insults, two guards reportedly entered Sarkozy's cell. In one video filmed in the prison, prisoners can be heard taunting the former president, shouting, "Call Sarko!" and "Show us your head!"
Moreover, according to journalists, Sarkozy cannot sleep normally, since his cell is located in a place with constant noise, and the window overlooks the courtyard.
On October 21, Sarkozy arrived at the Santé prison in Paris, where he will serve a five-year sentence in solitary confinement. On September 25, it was reported that a Paris court sentenced the former French president to five years in prison for allegedly illegally financing his election campaign from Libya. He was also fined €100,000.
