Veteran Nollywood actor Tom Njemanze has passed away at the age of 57, after battling prostate cancer. He died on July 19, 2025, leaving behind a legacy of memorable performances and a deep impact on Nigeria’s film industry.
Tom Njemanze was widely recognized for his outstanding roles in classic Nollywood films such as “Tokunboh” and “Pounds and Dollars”, where he showcased his remarkable talent and charisma. His career spanned over two decades, earning him respect from fans and colleagues across Nigeria and the diaspora.

Following the news of his death, Nollywood stars and fans have taken to social media to express their grief and pay tribute to the late actor. Veteran actress Rita Edochie wrote:
