Abuja, Nigeria – July 20, 2025
Dr. Yunusa Tanko, spokesperson for the Obidient Movement, has reaffirmed Peter Obi’s commitment to rescuing Nigeria from its current economic and political crises.
Speaking at a media briefing in Abuja, Tanko stated that Peter Obi remains focused on providing practical solutions to the country’s ongoing challenges, ranging from insecurity and corruption to unemployment and poverty.
“Peter Obi is determined to lead a new Nigeria. He understands the frustrations of the people, and he is ready to address them with integrity, competence, and a clear vision for the future,” Tanko said.
A Call for National Unity
The Obidient Movement, a grassroots political coalition supporting Obi’s leadership, continues to rally citizens across Nigeria. According to Tanko, the movement is not just about politics but about rebuilding trust between the people and government.
He urged Nigerians to remain hopeful and engaged in the democratic process, adding that the 2027 elections will offer an opportunity for a “national reset.”
Background
Peter Obi, former governor of Anambra State and presidential candidate in the 2023 elections, has consistently advocated for fiscal responsibility, youth empowerment, and structural reforms in governance. His supporters view him as a credible alternative to the current political establishment.
As Nigeria grapples with inflation, insecurity, and widespread disillusionment, many see Obi’s renewed involvement in national discourse as a sign of potential change.
