Abuja — A Federal High Court has adjourned Senator Ned Nwoko’s cyber-stalking / cyber-bullying case against activist Omoyele Sowore, citing a procedural error by the prosecution, Sahara Reporters has learned.
According to court sources, the adjournment followed an objection by Sowore’s legal team over the way the Nigeria Police lawyer allegedly introduced a new defendant into the suit without proper notice. The lawyer reportedly “smuggled” a third party into the case during the proceedings, sparking outrage and prompting the judge to pause the trial to address the error.
The case has been rescheduled for June 14, 2022, giving both sides time to rectify the service and charge-amendment issues.
