Professor Charles Chukwuma Soludo, the candidate of the All Progressives Grand Alliance (APGA), has been declared winner of the governorship election in Anambra State after votes from all 21 local government areas (LGAs) were collated by the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC).

According to the official announcement by INEC at the state collation centre in Awka, a total of 584,054 votes were recorded in the election. Soludo secured 422,664 votes, while his closest rival, Nicholas Ukachukwu of the All Progressives Congress (APC), garnered 99,445 votes. The remaining votes were shared among other candidates such as the African Democratic Congress (ADC) with 8,208 and the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) with 1,401 votes.

Below are selected results from key LGAs:

  • In Dunukofia LGA: APGA (14,892), APC (3,284)
  • In Awka North LGA: APGA (15,895), APC (3,661)
  • In Njikoka LGA: APGA (22,213), APC (5,687)

These figures underline a decisive victory for Soludo, reportedly sweeping across both strongholds and contested areas alike.

With the official declaration now made by INEC, Soludo is poised to begin his next term with a substantial mandate.
