A Syrian man suspected of planning a terrorist attack was detained in Berlin, Germany, Bild reports, citing sources in the security forces.
"On Saturday, special forces detained a Syrian... the suspect, Abdullah R., was planning a bloody massacre," the article notes.
The suspect was found in possession of explosives and bomb components. He allegedly ordered them online. The location of the explosion is being investigated. The suspect has been arrested.
It is noted that the Syrian lived at three addresses in Berlin.
In October, it was reported that three people, including the gunman, were killed in an attack outside a Manchester synagogue. Police announced that six people had been taken into custody in connection with the attack.
