Troops Arrest Major Logistics Collaborators Supplying Drugs, Arms to Boko Haram and ISWAP

North‑East Nigeria — July 24, 2025:

Troops operating under Operation Hadin Kai (OPHK) have apprehended several key collaborators believed to be supplying illicit drugs, arms, communication gear, and other logistics to Boko Haram and ISWAP terrorists.

According to Major General Markus Kangye, Director of Defence Media Operations, the arrests occurred during coordinated operations involving the Air Component, the Civilian Joint Task Force (CJTF), and local hunters.

The arrests underscore a growing focus by the Nigerian military on the supply chains that sustain terrorist groups in the North East. By targeting collaborators, arms suppliers, and drug traffickers, these operations aim to choke the lifeline of Boko Haram and ISWAP’s insurgent infrastructure.

Major General Kangye hailed the success as a major blow to insurgent networks and affirmed the Armed Forces’ commitment to dismantling terrorist logistics.
