All-Star Cast Revealed for Upcoming Street Fighter Film Adaptation

The highly anticipated Street Fighter movie adaptation has set the internet buzzing after unveiling a bold and eclectic cast lineup that blends Hollywood stars, athletes, and music icons.

Leading the cast is Noah Centineo (To All the Boys I’ve Loved Before) as Ken Masters and Andrew Koji (Warrior) as Ryu, two of the franchise’s most iconic fighters. Joining them are:

  • Cody Rhodes (WWE star) as Guile

  • Jason Momoa (Aquaman) as Blanka

  • David Dastmalchian (The Suicide Squad) as M. Bison

  • 50 Cent (rapper/actor) as Balrog

  • Roman Reigns (WWE champion) as Akuma

  • Orville Peck (country music artist) as Vega

  • Callina Liang (Warrior Nun) as Chun-Li

The film will be directed by Kitao Sakurai, best known for his work on Bad Trip, and is slated for release on October 16, 2026.

Bold Choices, Big Expectations

Fans are already debating the unconventional casting. While some applaud the creativity of pairing unexpected stars like Jason Momoa and 50 Cent with beloved video game characters, others remain skeptical about whether the ensemble will capture the essence of the legendary Capcom franchise.

The Street Fighter series, first launched in 1987, has become one of the most iconic fighting game franchises in history. While past film adaptations have struggled—most notably the 1994 Street Fighter starring Jean-Claude Van Damme—hopes are high that this version will deliver a fresh and faithful take that resonates with both gamers and mainstream audiences.

Franchise Revival

The new movie comes at a time when Street Fighter is experiencing a cultural revival, with Street Fighter 6 enjoying strong sales and esports popularity. The timing of the film’s release appears designed to ride that wave of renewed global interest.

If successful, the project could spark a new cinematic franchise, potentially expanding Capcom’s universe into sequels or spin-offs.

As hype builds, one thing is clear: this Street Fighter adaptation is shaping up to be one of the most talked-about video game movies in recent years.
